Some people leave a mark on the world not through grand gestures, but through the way they treat others every day. Tommy Wanserski was one of those people.
Tommy lived with kindness, generosity, and a genuine love for life. He had a servant's heart, a contagious sense of humor, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. Whether he was helping a friend, supporting a family member, or simply sharing a laugh, Tommy believed in showing up for people and making life a little brighter for those around him.
After courageously battling a brain tumor, Tommy passed away in 2021. While his time here was far too short, the impact he made on those who knew him continues to be felt every day.
The Tommy Open was created to honor the values that defined his life and to ensure that his legacy continues through acts of service, compassion, and generosity. Through this annual event and the work of the Wanserski Foundation, we are committed to supporting families and reminding them that they do not have to walk a difficult journey alone.
More than a golf outing, The Tommy Open is a celebration of community, friendship, and the belief that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
